Definition: Gore-Tex®

A high-tech material that is 100% waterproof, whilst still allowing moisture from the foot to pass through. With the aid of modern technology, ECCO has succeeded in manufacturing completely waterproof footwear, which still allows the foot to breathe. The principle underlying Gore-Tex® is that drops of water cannot penetrate the membrane, where as water vapour (foot perspiration) can escape.
